논문은 ‘문학’ 과목의 ‘자아 성찰’에 관한 성취기준 내용에서 ‘타자’라는 말을 어떻게 이해할 것인지 탐구한다. 아울러 ‘단원 준비 학습’을 분석 대상으로 삼아 해당 성취기준을 구현한 단원에 나타나는 타자 표상을 비판적으로 분석한다. 2011개정 교육과정 이후 ‘문학’ 과목의 ‘자아 성찰’에 관한 성취기준에는 ‘타자’라는 용어가 등장한다. 이것은 타자를 진정으로 이해하려면 타자성의 문제를 고려해야 하고, 이를 바탕으로 타자와 주체의 관계를 재정립해야 한다는 2000년대 문학의 타자 담론이 반영된 결과로 판단된다. 그러나 문학 교육과정 내용의 변화와는 달리, 교육과정 내용을 실제로 구현한 『문학』 교과서에서는 자아를 성찰하는 것과 관련하여 ‘타자’의 문제가 충분히 고려되지 못하고 있다. 해당 단원의 ‘준비 학습’을 비판적으로 검토함으로써 이를 확인할 수 있다. 여러 교과서의 해당 단원 ‘준비 학습’은 영웅적 타자 혹은 민족 개념에 의거하여 편협하게 규정된 인종적 타자의 표상을 보여준다. 전자의 타자 표상은 도덕주의 경향이 강하고 후자의 타자 표상은 동일자 중심주의 경향이 남아 있다. 따라서 타자를 이해하기 위한 적절한 타자 표상으로 보기 어렵다. 이에 대한 대안으로서 평범한 타자와 민족 개념을 넘어선 인종적 타자에 대한 표상들을 적극적으로 고려가 필요하다.

This paper studies how to understand words ``the other`` included achievement standards about ``self-reflection`` in Korean Language Art``s curriculum. and Notes aspects of the other represented in pre-reading activities in self-reflection section in the literature textbook. In relation to achievement standards about ``self-reflection``, The concepts of ``the other`` showed up for the first time in 2011 Korean Language Art``s curriculum. It is the result of receiving a literary discourse about ‘the Otherness’ in the 2000s. The study of ‘the Otherness’ affects understand in terms of Subject, the Other. However, Unlike changes in the Korean Language Art``s curriculum content, the literature textbook are not considering theses changes. Analysis of the other represented in pre-reading activities about self-reflection section demonstrates this problem. These pre-reading activities does not consider the ontological relationship between the self-reflection and the other. therefore it requires fundamental consideration and reconstruction about the other represented in pre-reading activities in self-reflection section.
