본 연구는 한국 남성의 성역할갈등에 대한 잠재집단 유형과 각 잠재집단별 남성성, 여성성, 우울, 자아존중감의 특성을 파악하고자 수행되었다. 먼저, 남성 성역할갈등의 각 요인에 대해 잠재집단분석(LCA)을 실시한 결과, 4집단이 가장 적합한 것으로 최종 판단되었다. 또한 각 잠재집단은 성공·힘·경쟁(SPC), 감정억제(RE), 일과 가족 간 갈등(CBWF), 남성 간 애정행동억제(RABM)에 대해 모두높은 수준을 보이는 GRC-high 집단(9.7%), 다른 요인들은 평균수준이나 감정억제(RE), 남성 간 애정행동억제(RABM) 요인이 높은 Restriction 집단(44.1%), 다른 요인들은 평균 또는 평균 이하의 수준이나 성공·힘·경쟁(SPC)에 대한 갈등 수준이 높은 SPC 집단(19.4%), 4요인 모두 낮은 수준을 보이는 GRC-low 집단(26.9%)으로 분류되었다. 다음으로 남성 성역할갈등의 각 잠재집단 유형별로 남성성, 여성성, 우울, 자아존중감 수준이 어떠한지를 파악하고자 분산분석을 실시한 결과, 남성성은 SPC 집단이 가장 높았고, 여성성은 GRC-low 집단이 가장 높았으며, 우울은 GRC-high 집단이, 자아존중감은 SPC집단이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 성역할의 긍정적 측면과 부정적 측면을 동시에 고려하였다는 측면에서 성역할갈등 연구의 범위를 확장하였으며, 우리나라 남성들의 성역할 특성과 심리적 건강 특성을 보다 통합적으로 파악하였다는데 그 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다.

This study was performed to investigate the latent classes according to Korean male gender roles conflict and the characteristics of each class about masculinity, femininity, depression and self-esteem. First, LCA analysis showed that male gender roles conflict have four types of latent classes. In addition, the latent classes were classified as GRC-high group(9.7%) that is the highest in the SPC, RE, CBWF and RABM, Restriction group(44.1%) that is the highest only in the RABM and RE, SPC group(19.4%) that has the highest level of conflict especially in the SPC, and GRC-low group(26.9%) that has the lowest level in the SPC, RE, CBWF and RABM. Subsequently, we compared the characteristics of each class through the analysis of variance. As a result, the SPC group had the highest masculinity and self esteem, GRC-low group had the highest femininity, and GRC-high group had the highest depression. This study expanded the scope of research for male gender role conflict in that we considered both positive aspects and negative aspects of the gender role. In addition, it is significant that the characteristics of Korean gender role and psychological health overall were identified.
