본 연구의 목적은 성인전기 지체장애인의 장애수용과 우울의 자기존중감에 대한 종단적 영향력을 알아보는 것이었다. 이 연구는 한국 장애인 고용공단에서 조사한 장애인 고용패널자료를 사용하여 이루어졌다. 본 연구의 목적에 적합한 4차 시점의 장애수용, 4차 시점의 우울, 5차 시점의 자존감, 7차 시점의 자존감 자료가 사용되었다. 구조방정식 모형 분석을 통해 도출된 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 4차 시점의 우울이 5차 시점의 자존감에 대해 갖는 영향력을 통제한 뒤에, 1년 간격에서 4차 시점의 장애수용은 5차 시점의 자존감을 유의하게 예측하였다. 둘째, 4차 시점의 우울, 5차 시점의 자존감이 7차 시점의 자존감에 대해 갖는 영향력을 통제한 뒤에, 3년 간격에서 4차 시점의 장애수용은 7차 시점의 자존감을 유의하게 예측하지 못하였다. 셋째, 4차 시점의 장애수용이 5차 시점의 자존감에 대해 갖는 영향력을 통제한 뒤에, 1년 간격에서 4차 시점의 우울은 5차 시점의 자존감을 유의하게 예측하였다. 넷째, 4차 시점의 장애수용, 5차 시점의 자존감이 7차 시점의 자존감에 대해 갖는 영향력을 통제한 뒤에, 3년 간격에서 4차 시점의 우울은 7차 시점의 우울을 유의하게 예측하지 못하였다. 다섯째, 4차 시점 장애수용의 5차 시점 자존감을 매개한 7차 시점 자존감에 대한 매개효과는 유의하였다. 여섯째, 4차시점 우울의 5차 시점 자존감을 매개한 7차 시점 자존감에 대한 매개효과는 유의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the prospective effect of acceptance of disability and depression on self-esteem of persons with physical disabilities in early adulthood. This study used the PSED(Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled) data collected by the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled. The Data on acceptance of disability from the 4th wave(2011), on self-esteem from the 5th wave(2012) and the 7th wave(2014), and on depression from the 4th wave(2011) were used. The results of this study derived from structural equation modeling analysis were in the followings. First, acceptance of disability in the 4th wave significantly predicted self-esteem in the 5th wave over and above the effect of depression in the 4th wave on self-esteem in the 5th wave at 1-year interval. Second, acceptance of disability in the 4th wave didn`t predicted self-esteem in the 7th wave over and above the effect of depression in the 4th wave and self-esteem in the 5th wave on self-esteem in the 7th wave at 3-year interval. Third, depression in the 4th wave significantly predicted self-esteem in the 5th wave over and above the effect of acceptance of disability in the 4th wave on self-esteem in the 5th wave at 1-year interval. Fourth, depression in the 4th wave didn`t predicted self-esteem in the 7th wave over and above the effect of acceptance of disability in the 4th wave and self-esteem in the 5th wave on self-esteem in the 7th wave at 3-year interval. Fifth, the mediating effect of acceptance of ability through self-esteem in the 5th wave on self-esteem in the 7th wave was significant. Sixth, the mediating effect of depression in the 4th wave through self-esteem in the 5th wave on self-esteem in the 7th wave was significant. The implications of the results of this study are discussed.
