본 연구는 자폐성장애아동에게 12주 동안 타깃형 신체활동프로그램을 적용하여 감각통합기능에 어떠한 효과가 있는지 알아보기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 서울시 K대학의 장애아동체육교실에 참여하는 아동 중 본 연구의 참여를 희망한 자폐성장애아동10명을 실험집단으로 선정하였으며, 통제집단은 학교 정규 체육수업 이외 운동을 하지 않는 자폐성장애아동 10명을 유목적표집 방법으로 선정하였다. 타깃형 신체활동프로그램은 주 2회60분, 24회기 동안 적용하였으며 감각통합기능을 평가하기 위한 사전·사후 검사로 단축감각프로파일 검사(Short Sensory Profile)를 사용하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 사용하였으며, 집단과 검사 시기에 따른 상호작용효과 검증을 위해 이원반복측정분산분석(two-way repeated measure ANOVA)을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 감각통합 총합에서 집단(실험집단, 통제집단)과 검사 시기(사전, 사후)에 따른 상호작용효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 상호작용효과가 나타난 세부 항목을 살펴보면 촉각 민감성, 움직임 민감성, 과소반응 및 특정자극을 찾는 행동, 활력/허약함 요인이었다. 그러나 맛/냄새 민감성, 청각여과하기, 시각 및 청각 민감성의 항목에서는 집단과 시기에 따른 상호작용 효과가 나타나지 않았으나 실험집단의 사전ㆍ사후 감각통합기능 점수는 향상된 것으로 나타나 타깃형 신체활동프로그램이 자폐성장애아동의 감각통합기능향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

The study was conducted for the purpose of to investigate the impact of sensory integration function for children with autism spectrum disorder who applied from 12 weeks target physical activity program. To achieve the goal of this study, 10 children with autism spectrum disorder were selected as experiment group who involved in P.E class for children with disability at H University located in Seoul and controlled group were selected from 10 children with autism spectrum disorder who had never participated in physical activity except from school physical education class. Target physical activity program applied for 24 times, each time was 60 minutes, twice a week and to evaluate the sensory integration function Short Sensory Profile was used. SPSS 18.0 was used to analyze the data and Two-way repeated measure ANOVA was conducted to verify the interaction effect based on group and test time. The results were as followed. There was positive change on the Tactile Sensitivity, Movement Sensitivity, behavior of looking for Underresponsive/Seeks Sensation, Low Energy/Weak, which is the sub factor of sensory integration, through the participation of target physical activity program. There wasn`t positive change on Taste/Smell Sensitivity, Auditory Filtering, Visual/Auditory Sensation category. But the integration function score increased at experimental group. The sum of sub factor`s sensory integration has positively changed after participating for targeted physical activity program, so it can be conclude that target physical activity program has positive effect on children with autism spectrum disorder`s sensory integration function increment.
