The fashion terminology in Spanish has experienced a continuous and dynamic change under the historic cultural influence of loanwords. In this paper, it shall be assumed that fashion terminology can play a role as an `indicator vocabulary`, which permits us to observe that there are many linguistic and cultural traces throughout history. From a historic-cultural point of view, it shall be demonstrated that languages such as Latin, German, French, Italian and English have affected considerably Spanish. Likewise, concurrently, it will be exposed that the indicator vocabulary has a great advantage to explain, under a pedagogical point of view the formation of Spanish Lexicon in a simple way.
