본 연구는 시간의 경과에 따른 청소년기 사이버 비행의 변화 양상과 예측변인들이 사이버 비행의 변화에 미치는 영향을 검증하기 위해, 한국청소년정책연구원의 한국청소년패널(중학교 2학년 패널)조사 자료를 위계적 선형 모형을 통해 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 1차 년도(중학교 2학년)에서 사이버 비행 수준이 가장 높았고, 2차 년도에서 급격이 감소했다. 그리고, 3차 년도와 4차 년도에서 완만히 감소하였다. 학년이 올라갈수록 여학생들의 사이버 비행 감소율이 남학생보다 더 큰 것으로 나타났으며, 1차 년도의 긴장요인, 인터넷 사용 양 및 오프라인 비행 수준이 높을수록 시간의 경과에 따른 사이버 비행의 감소율은 둔화되었다. 반면, 1차 년도의 사회유대, 자기통제력이 높을수록 시간의 경과에 따른 사이버 비행의 감소율은 가속화되었다. 종합해 보면, 인터넷 사용 양, 오프라인 비행, 자기통제력, 사회유대 및 긴장요인이 사이버 비행의 변화에 영향을 미치는 유의한 예측변인으로 나타났으며, 인터넷 사용 양, 오프라인 비행 및 자기통제력이 긴장요인과 사회유대 변인보다 사이버 비행에 대한 영향력이 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 청소년기의 사이버 비행을 예방하기 위해서는 오프라인비행 수준이 높은 청소년들에 대한 일차적인 관심이 필요하며, 인터넷 사용에 대한 자기조절능력을 향상시키는 노력이 필요해 보인다.

The aim of this study was to verify the trend of change of adolescent cyber delinquency as time passes and the influence of predictors for the change of cyber delinquency. This study analyzed the Korean Youth Panel Data (2^th grade at middle school) of National Youth Policy Agency by hierarchical linear modeling. Results of this study indicated that the level of cyber delinquency was the highest at the first year(at 2^th grade at middle school), decreased drastically at the second year. And cyber delinquency decreased gradually at the third and fourth year. The decrease rate of cyber delinquency of female students was bigger than that of male students. And, greater stress, amount of internet use and the level of offline delinquency at 2^th grade at middle school were related to the slowdown of decrease rate as time passes. On the other hand, greater social bonding and self-control at 2^th grade at middle school were associated with the acceleration of decrease rate. Taken together, amount of internet use, offline delinquency, self-control, social bonding and strain factors appear strong predictors of cyber delinquency, and self-control, offline delinquency and amount of internet use more influenced cyber delinquency than strain factor and social bonding. Thus, researchers and counselors need to firstly pay attention to adolescents who commit delinquent behaviors in offline situation, and try to improve self-regulation ability of adolescents for internet use to prevent cyber delinquency.
