학교상담자 훈련 및 전문성 발달 과정에서 수퍼비전은 매우 중요한 요소이다. 학교상담자들을 위해 차별화된 수퍼비전은 학교상담자를 희망하는 수련생들이 종합적인 학교상담자의 업무를 이해하고, 학교상담자로서의 정체성을 공고히 하는 데 도움을 준다. 또한, 활동 중인 학교상담자들에게도 수퍼비전은 동료 간 네트워킹 및 소진 예방에 도움을 줄 수 있다. 이러한 필요성과 혜택에도 불구하고, 학교상담자 수퍼비전에 대한 학계의 논의는 매우 부족했던 것이 사실이다. 이에 본 연구는 국내외 학교상담자 수퍼비전 문헌들을 분석하여, 한국 학교상담자 교육에 적용 가능한 수퍼비전 모델 및 방법론을 제시하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 학교상담자 발달 단계를 학교상담 수련생 단계, 입문기 학교상담자 단계, 숙련기 학교상담자 단계로 나누고, 각 발달 단계별로 수퍼비전의 목적과 발달단계의 특성, 수퍼비전의 형태, 적용 가능한 이론적.방법론적 접근을 제시하였다. 마지막으로 학교상담자를 위한 수퍼비전이 활발히 이루어지기 위해 제도적으로 정비되어야 할 사항에 대한 제언 및 후속 연구에 대한 제언을 제시하였다.

Supervision is an essential component of school counselor training and continuous professional development. Differentiated supervision models for school counselors can help better understanding of comprehensive school counseling programs of the school counselor trainees, and consolidate their professional identities. In addition, supervision opportunities for the professional school counselors can facilitate the networking process among the professional school counselors, and prevent their burnouts. In spite of the necessities and benefits mentioned above, there has been little research reported about the supervision models for professional school counselors. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to provide the supervision models which can apply into the Korean professional school counselor education system. For the purpose of the study, the author divided the Korean school counselor development into the three phases - school counselor trainee level, novice school counselor level, and skilled school counselor level. Then, the purpose of the supervision, developmental characteristics, supervision modalities and theoretical and methodological approaches for each developmental phase were provided. Lastly, suggestions for the policy and system changes which can increase the supervision opportunities for school counselors, and future research were provided.
