본 연구의 목적은 성인애착과 결혼만족의 관계에 대한 심리적 폭력과 희망의 매개효과를 알아보는 것이었다. 본 연구의 대상은 서울, 경기, 대구 지역에 거주하며 20년 이상 결혼생활을 유지하고 있는 기혼 남녀 485명이었다. 본 연구의 모형이 자료에 적합한지를 알아보기 위하여 구조방정식 모형 분석을 사용하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 연구 결과 첫째, 회피애착과 결혼만족의 관계에서 심리적 폭력의 매개효과는 유의하지 않았으며 희망의 매개효과는 유의하였다. 둘째, 불안애착과 결혼만족의 관계에서 심리적 폭력과 희망의 매개효과는 유의하였다. 심리적 폭력과 희망의 불안애착과 결혼만족 사이의 관계에 대한 매개효과는 부적인 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 회피애착의 결혼만족 사이의 관계에 대한 불안애착의 조절효과는 유의하지 않았다. 넷째, 결혼만족을 예측하기 위한 이 연구의 모형은 남녀에게 동일하게 적용 가능한 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로, 본 연구의 상담에 대한 시사점과 제한점 및 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 논하였다.

The goal of this study is to examine the mediating effects of psychological violence and hope on the relationships between adult attachment and marital satisfaction. The sample was collected from 485 married men and women who have been married for over 20 years, living in the districts of Seoul city, Gyunggi province, and Daegu city. The structural equation model has been applied to examine the goodness of fit of the theoretical model. The results state as follows. First, the mediating effect of psychological violence was not significant on the relationship between avoidant attachment and marital satisfaction. However, the mediating effect of hope was significant. Second, the mediating effects of psychological violence and hope on the relationship between anxious attachment and marital satisfaction were significant. Nevertheless, the psychological violence and hope were negatively mediated. Third, the moderator effect of anxious attachment on the relationship between avoidant attachment and marital satisfaction was not significant. Fourth, it was verified that the study model to predict marital satisfaction could be equally applied to men and women. Based on these results, this article discussed implications and limitations of this study for counseling and suggestions for follow-up study.
