Park Mokwol was a poet pursuing will of life. He aimed at moralism or religion rather than technicalism. Poetic achievements made by Park Mokwol in Korean modern poetry history were pursuing changes and consistence at the same time. He had established his own world from his poems in early period to his later period, as he unceasingly had changed poetic emotion and overtones. Like this, the position of Park Mokwol`s poems in Korean literature history was found in context succeeded from Kim Sowol and Kim Youngrang to Park Mokwol. He embodied the most ordinary opportunities of life, in which he fervently showed metaphysical seeking spirit indicating joys and sorrows of life. The seeking attitude and ontological awareness condensed existential sense, thought and emotion of contemporaries, then they enabled the thought on ontological solitude and perpetuality. The through-composed poem Saryeokjil(砂礫質) showed representative trend in his later poems. These poems containing the heavy abstraction and ideality``s root showed philosophy of nihil and enlightenment of soul through extinction and destruction of humans and things. This seeking spirit has been interpreted as metaphysical sublimating courses of the modernity until now.
