The purpose of this study is to analyze character of < Kumrusa >, on the basis of Greimas`s semiotic theory. The study is < Kumrusa > that write affection the theme of gasa. and I refer to the a specific character that social culture space of jeju. < Kumrusa > is load at < youngjujaebangilki >. This work only write affection the theme of gasa in Jeju. This work of meaning structure were three. The First, symbol of jekkang motif. Jekkang motif is very important at a hero novel. but, this work is not a hero novel. This story is a romance. The second, expand of space structure. This is two space which the heavens and the ground. The third, lack of ambition structure. This is appeared lack of love. I apply Greimas`s semiotic theory that ambition structure of works. a subject ↔ an object, a helper ↔ an opponent, the sender ↔ the receiver etc. I classify the love act and separation act.
