특수교육실무원은 장애학생의 수업참여와 학급담임교사의 전반적인 교수활동업무를 지원해 주는 역할을 담당한다. 따라서 특수교육과 통합교육 수업현장에서 장애학생과 대부분의 시간을 보내는 특수교육실무원의 장애인에 대한 태도는 장애학생의 지도지원과 질적인 수업효과에 의미있는 영향을 미치는 요인이다. 이에 본 연구는 일반학교와 특수학교에 근무하는 특수교육실무원을 대상으로 장애인에 대한 무조건적인 거부태도, 왜곡된 동일시태도, 추론된 정서적 결과태도, 기능적 제한성의 전가태도, 권위적 태도, 친교의 거부태도 그리고 장애인과 접촉시 긴장감태도에 대해 어떤 태도를 가지고 있는지를 알아보고, 두 그룹간의 장애인에 대한 태도차이가 있는지에 대해서도 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 결과는 일반학교와 특수학교 특수교육실무원의 장애인에 대한 태도에는 전체적으로 중립적이거나 다소 긍정적인 태도를 가진 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 무조건적인 거부태도요인에서 ‘장애인과 대화시 신경쓰이는 것’과 ‘장애인과 접촉시 긴장감’태도에 대해서는 두 그룹간에 약간의 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 특수교육실무원이 장애와 장애인에 대한 태도를 이해함으로써, 이들이 수업현장에서 일반교사와 비장애학생에게 장애에 이해와 태도를 긍정적으로 중재하고 향상시킬 수 있도록 질적 지원을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 논의하였다.
Special education assistants are supported for teachers and students with disabilities in the classroom. Also, they are spend most of their time for students with disabilities in the field of special education and inclusive education classes. And their attitudes toward the person with disabilities have a meaningful impact in support and quality of teaching for students with disabilities. Therefore, in this research was to study on attitudes toward the person with disabilities of special education assistants in regular schools and special schools, and was investigated to the difference of attitudes between the two groups(7 attitude factors toward person with disabilities are toward person with disabilities unconditional rejection factors, distorted identification, the inferred emotional consequences, imputed functional limitation, authoritarian attitudes, rejection of intimacy and injection of intimacy). The results of this study, special education assistants attitudes toward person with disabilities of special education assistants were showed a neutral or positive attitudes. And in generally, attitudes toward person with disabilities of special education assistants in regular schools and special schools was not showed difference significantly. However was showed some difference between the two groups about the unconditional rejection factors and factors of injection of intimacy.
