This study is about what the college students with hearing impairment are aware of their future jobs. The view of occupation is compared to find out the difference between genders. For this study, 44 questionnaires which 22 male hearing impaired college students and 22 female hearing impaired college students had responded to were analyzed. The result of this study is summarized as follows: Firstly, college students with hearing impairment regard aptitude and interest as the most important factor when they choose their jobs. They also answered that the jobs related to their majors and talents are ideal for the job selection criteria. Secondly, when compared with general college students about the attitude for the job, the view of occupation of college students with hearing impairment does not show a big difference. Thirdly, most college students with hearing impairment marked the average level in the questions of ‘job performance’ and ‘present and required ability’. It means that they are short of confidence of job performance compared with that of general college students although they want the jobs which are far from their present and required ability. Lastly, most college students with hearing impairment marked the under average level in the questions of choosing a job. It means that they have the tendency to choose the jobs that they want more than the jobs that their parents want. Besides, they do not usually choose the jobs that they have dreamed of since they were young. Therefore, it is necessary that college students with hearing impairment receive systematic vocational education to see their own ability objectively and to realize their childhood dreams and thoughts.
