본고는 「삼강명행록」이 여성주인공 사부인의 천하주유를 서술하는 과정에 서 1609년 명나라 楊爾曾에 의해 편찬된 『海內奇觀』을 수용한 점을 밝히고, 그 양상을 살펴보았다. 「삼강명행록」은 정흡과 사부인 부부, 그 아들 정철 세 사람의 여행기를 서사적 근간으로 한다. 이 가운데 사부인의 천하주유 과정 이 『해내기관』을 創作素로 서술된다. 「삼강명행록」은 『해내기관』 대부분을 한글로 번역, 수용하고 있다. 이처럼 중국지리에 관한 서술을 대폭 확대하고 있는 것은 당대 유행한 산수 유람의 문화와 관련 있는 것으로 보인다. 조선 후기 산수 유람의 유행은 국내를 넘어 중국 천하에 대한 관심으로 확대되었고, 그 결과 山水記와 山水畵의 족출을 가져왔다. 산수 유람의 결과물이라 할 산수기나 산수화는 또 하나의 산수 유 람 문화로서 臥遊文化의 유행을 가져왔는데, 「삼강명행록」이 작품 중에 중국 천하를 아우르는 지리지 『해내기관』을 번역, 수용한 것은 소설을 통해 이러 한 와유 문화의 체험을 의도한 것으로 보인다. 이처럼 기존의 텍스트를 활용하여 당대 상층에서 유행한 문화적 교양을 작 품 중에 들여놓은 것은 홍희복을 통해 확인되는 바, 소설을 통해 博覽의 효과를 원했던 당대 소설 향유층의 요구와 그들의 소설 향유방식에 호응한 것이 라 여겨진다.

This Paper researches that the chinese geography, Haenaekigwan compiled by Yang Yee Geung(楊爾曾) in 1609, is brought in Samgangmyeonghaengrok. The author described Madam Sa`s travel, one of the three travels of which Samgangmyeonghaengrok`s narrative was composed, with Haenaekigwan. Almost all the chapters of Haenaekigwan is brought in Samgangmyeonghaengrok under translating into Korean. It seems that the full description of the chinese geographical feature in Samgangmyeonghaengrok correlated to the fashion of sightseeing among the upper classes in that days. In proportion to the fashion of sightseeing tour in the late Joseon period, they were interested not only in Joseon but in China. As the result, the age was highly productive of the landscape paintings and the records of travel, with which people enjoyed the beauties of nature. That is to say, nature stroll at home came to pass. It is considered that the author intended Samgangmyeonghaengrok to embody nature stroll at home by the quotation from Haenaekigwan all over. Like this, The quotation from existing text in hanguel saga novel must have been under consideration to satisfy the reader like Hong Hei Bok(홍희복) who wanted to be afforded the extensive knowledge.
