The ethic shows the esthetic characteristics of that novels because of coming into question about a adaptation and survival of `how to live?` in a real world. The Family is the place of struggle that person wants to prodect and alive for `self-world`, in all things the place is a place to need `self-restraint(A Practice of Life), a place to carry out obligation to support one`s family with (The Goat is Strong), a space to repress free-revelation of an autonomic intention by some means. His novels want to structure the world of free-revelation and the ethic system to possible to structure a modern-subject completely. But, that desire just represent distorted modernity in a mode of real life, and in family that is dissolved and reconstructed repeatedly. In that point, Kim Sung Ok` novels represent post-modern resistance of 1960`s modernization and industrialization with modern-subject`s ethics.
