이 연구의 목적은 연어의 개념과 범주 한정의 문제를 다루는 데에 있다. 연어는 어휘 차원의 제한된 결합을 중시하는 언어학적 개념 정의와 빈도나 공기 확률을 중시한 통계 기반의 개념 정의 2가지로 크게 나뉜다. 이 논의에서는 어휘 차원의 제한된 결합으로 연어를 정의하는 것이 바람직하다는 점을 보였고, 이러한 관점에서 어휘적인 결합 제약, 의미 투명성 등의 연어의 판별기준에 관하여 논의하였다. 나아가 연어의 범위를 구체적으로 한정하여 다국어 연어 DB 구축 등과 같은 실질적인 작업에 도움을 주고자 하였다.
The purpose of this study is to investigate on the conception of collocation and to limit range of collocation category. The conception of collocation is divided into two; conception based on linguistic competence and frequency of occurrence. I think that the conceptions of collocation based on linguistic competence is correct at the present time. In this point, I analyzed criteria for selecting collocation; lexical selection, semantic transparency, and so forth. And I also limited collocation category, concretely. This study worked out for construction of multilingual collocation database.
