북한 과학환상소설은 인간과 자연에 대한 북한문학의 근본적인 관점을 미래의 형상으로 재현한 문학 장르이다. 과학환상소설에서 자연은 과학기술에 의한 개발의 대상, 시련과 성숙의 제의적 장소, 적의 침입과 퇴출의 전장 등으로 형상화된다. 또한 과학환상소설에서 인간은 자연을 개발하는 과학자이며, 헌신적인 인간애를 발휘하는 인민이자, 적의 음모를 격퇴하는 인민의 전사로 제시된다. 과학환상소설은 서구 과학소설에 대한 탈식민주의적 폐기의 수사 전략을 활용하는 반제국주의적인 문학으로 이해할 필요가 있다. 주체사상과 그것의 예술적 방법론인 종자론은 과학환상소설의 내용과 형식을 규정하고 있다. 이 논문은 북한 과학환상소설에 재현된 바다의 크로노토프를 다양하게 살펴봄으로써 과학환상소설이 유격대국가, 가족국가, 극장국가 등으로 정의되는 북한의 글로벌 조선(조선 속의 세계, 세계 속의 조선)의 이미지를 구축하는 정치적인 문학임을 논증하려고 했다.

Science & fantasy fiction of North Korea is a literary genre represented in the shape of the future on the essential terms of the North Korean literature about human and nature. In science & fantasy fiction, the nature is shaped as target for the development of science and technology, ritual places of trial and maturity, the battlefield of enemy invasion and exit & so on. Also in science fantasy fiction, human is presented as the scientist to developing nature, the people displaying dedicated humanity, the champion of the people to repelling the enemy`s conspiracy. Science & fantasy fiction need to understand as anti-imperial literature that utilize rhetoric strategies of postcolonial abolition on the western science fiction. The Juchesasang (subject ideology) and its artistic methodology, Jongjaron(seeds theory) stipulates the content and form of the science & fantasy fiction. This paper is looking at variable chronotopes of the sea represented in science fiction fantasy of North Korea. So that, this paper tried to prove that science & fantasy fiction is the political literature to building images of the North Korea(Chosun in the world, the world in Chosun) as defined by partisan state, family state, theatre state etc.
