이 글의 목적은 청첩장 초대글 본문 각 부분의 표현을 분석하고 하객 초대 부분표현의 공손성을 살펴보는 것이다. 2007년~2014년까지의 청첩장 241장을 주분석 대상으로 하였다. 2장에서는 청첩장 초대글의 기본 구조와 유형을 매체와 관련하여 살펴보았다. 청첩장 초대글은 본문, 초청인, 일시와 장소 등으로 구성된다. 본문은 결혼 고지, 결혼생활 의지, 하객 초대라는 세 요소를 기본으로 하지만, 결혼 고지와 하객 초대로 이루어진 유형이 보편적이다. 3장에서는 초대글 본문 각 부분의 주된 표현 방식과 자주 사용되는 동사구절을 살피고, 4장에서는 하객 초대부분 표현들의 공손성을 살펴보았다. 본문 표현은 청첩 화자에 따라 다소 차이를 보인다. 결혼 고지에는 “-고자 하다”, “-려 하다”,“-게 되다” 등 의도와 예정 표현이 사용되고, 결혼생활 의지 표현에는 “-겠-”이 주로 사용되었다. 결혼 참석과 축복 요청으로 구성된 하객 초대 부분은 “-면 겠다”와 “-아/어 주다”의 빈도가 높다. 각 표현은 선후행 결합 요소에 따라 공손성이 달라지며, “-면 -겠다”는 초대 글에서 적절한 공손성을 드러내지 못하는 경우가 많다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze on expressions in writings of wedding invitation cards and to consider politeness of the expressions. The subject research material is 241 wedding invitation cards from 2007 to 2014. In chapter two, it was analysed that the basic structure and types about writings of wedding invitation in connection with the midium. The basic structure of writings of wedding invitation are composed three parts. In chapter three, we have studied about expressions on writings of invitations. It is “-고자 하다”,“-려 하다”, “-게 되다” that announcement of wedding express almost in writings invitations. And the will in married life of new couple`s express “-겠-”. It is “-면 -겠다” that makes frequently used expressions inviting well-wisher to a wedding, “-아/어 주다” use too. In chapter four, we analyzed of the politeness on expressions in the part of invitation for well-wisher. Frequently, the expressions using “-면 -겠다” are not felicitous expressions for politeness in wedding invitation cards.
