본 연구는 부모가 자녀의 디지털 테크놀로지 사용에 대해 어떻게 인식하고 있는지를 살펴봄으로써 향후 자녀의 긍정적인 디지털 테크놀로지 사용을 위해 부모로서 어떠한 지원을 해줄 수 있을지에 대해 알아보았다. 만 3, 4, 5세 자녀를 둔 426명의 부모가 연구에 참여하였으며, 부모의 디지털 역량수준에 따른 자녀의 디지털 테크놀로지 사용에 대한 부모의 인식과 요구를 분석하기 위해 일원변량분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 자녀의 디지털 테크놀로지 사용에 대한 부모의 인식은 부모의 학력, 자녀의 연령, 부모의 디지털 역량 수준 등의 변인에 따라 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 부모의 디지털 역량 수준에 따라 자녀의 디지털 테크놀로지 이용시간, 이용목적, 향후 자녀와의 상호작용 계획 및 요구 등에서 차이가 있었다. 본 연구 결과는 디지털 테크놀로지 관련 부모교육프로그램을 설계하고 개발하기 위한 기초자료로서 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

This study explored parents` perception about young children`s use of digital technologies based on the level of parents` digital competence. It also examined their needs about how to help young children`s positive use of digital technologies as a parent in the future. This study recruited 426 parents of 3-year, 4-year, or 5-year-old children from S city, D city, and P city and the questionnaire of parents` perception and needs about young children`s use of digital technologies revised based on the previous studies was used for data collection. One-way ANOVA was used for analyzing research questions. As a result, firstly, parents` perception about young children`s use of digital technologies was affected by parents` educational background, young children`s age, and parents` digital competence levels. Secondly, the perception about young children`s use of digital technologies including hours and purpose of using technology, and the needs about their interaction with young children while using technology were varied according to the level of parents` digital competence. These results seem to be used as a basis on the design and development of parents education program dealing with the topics about supporting young children`s positive use of digital technology.
