이 글은 카프 1차 방향전환의 기점으로 알려 진 1927년을 다시 읽으려는 시도의 하나로 아나키즘 논쟁과 『예술운동』을 살펴보았다. 일반적으로 카프 1차 방향전환은 `문예의 목적의식론`을 통해 정치적 성격을 강화한 것으로 평가된다. 아나키즘의 자유주의적 경향의 축출과 일본에 거점을 둔 제3전선파의 유입이라는 운동사적 사건과 박영희, 한설야 등 카프 논객들의 비평이 이를 증명한다. 하지만 당시 비평과 소설을 교차해 볼 때 논의의 지형도는 이러한 일방적 흐름과는 다르게 형성된다. 아나키즘 논쟁 당시 임화는 개인의 내적 의식을 비판하면서도 부르주아 법제도와 자기의식을 사유하는 특징을 보인다. 비평적 흐름과는 반대로 카프 논객들의 소설에서 주인공 개인의 내면과 식민지 제도의 문제가 결합되고 있음이 확인된다. 『예술운동』에서는 문예의 정치투쟁화를 주장한 박영희와 그러한 주장이 기계적ㆍ이론적 추수에 불과하다는 이북만이 논의가 충돌한다. 이북만은 프로문학이 부르주아 제도 전반에 개입할 것을 촉구했다. 실제 작품에서도 이러한 논의의 틀이 확인된다. 요컨대 1927년을 기점으로 시작되는 카프 1차 방향전환은 1920년대 전반기 사회주의 예술론의 핵심을 이루는 개인의 자유의지와 `조직으로서 카프`라는 목적의식이 충돌하는 시기라고 할 수 있다. 그 충돌과 변형의 지점은 작가들마다 서로 다르게 나타났던 것이다.

In an attempt to reexamine the year 1927 known as the moment of the first change of direction of KAPF, this paper scrutinized the debate on anarchism and art movement. The first change of direction of KAPF seems to support political characteristics throughout `a sense of purpose in literature.` This is verified by two factors; 1) the events of driving liberal tendency out from anarchism and influx of the third party based on Japan, 2) the critique of Park, Young-Hee, Han Seol-Ya, and etc. However, the discussion is differently constructed when we relate critique to novels. In those days of the debate on anarchism Im, Hwa not only criticized internal consciousness of individuals also thought of bourgeois law system and self-consciousness. On the contrary to the trend of critique, the inner side of main characters is connected with the problems of colonial system in the novels of the KAPF disputants. In `art movement,` Park, Young-Hee who argues political resistance conflicts with Lee, Buk-Man who asserts that the Park`s argument mechanically follows its theory without consideration of the context. Lee, Buk-Man urged KAPF to intervene in the bourgeois system. This framework can be seen in the actual works. In other words, the first change of direction of KAPF in 1927 can be the moment when individuals` free will that is a focal point of the theory of socialist art conflicts with a sense of purpose, KAPF as an organization. The point of the conflicts and transformations were differently shown in accordance with the writers.
