Yeom, Sang-seop(廉想涉,1897-1963) had a experience of long term residence in Japan(1921-20, 1926-28). No doubt he was influenced by < Japan > totally. So he accepted his experiences and acquired knowledges to his literary works. This paper aims to show some examples from the various point of view. During the period of 1910`s, things were trending toward so-called Taisho(大正) Democracy, and Yeom was going to school just at that time in Tokyo and Kyoto. It is most likely that Yeom was influenced by the eminent scholar such as Yoshino, Sakuzo(吉野作造) and Kawakami, Hajime(河上肇) who were both famous thinker or economist at that time. Yeom often described Japan especially Tokyo and Japanese people in his novels and every level of Japanese language was mixed in his literary works. Meanwhile, Yeom`s special concern was related to Arishima, Takeo`s(有島武?) way of life and Natsume, Souseki`s(夏目漱石) literary works. Further research is required how Yeom, Sang-seop concerned himself with < Japan > after the Korean emancipation from Japan(1945).
