교양일본어 수업 중 어학관련 수업은 주로 초급일본어 수준으로 진행되고 있다. 이때 문제가 되고 있는 것은 이미 초급일본어를 습득한 수강생과 그렇지 않은 수강생이 함께 수강하는 즉 학습자간의 개인차가 크다는 점이다. 또한 몇 개의 분반으로 나뉘어져 있는 경우 분반 간에 수강생의 구성에 있어서도 차이가 있는 경우가 있다. 종래에 이 점은 개인적인 문제라고 인식되어 왔지만, 보다 적극적으로 이를 해결할 수 있는 방안을 찾아보기 위하여 LMS중 하나인 Moodle을 활용해 보았다. 먼저 오프라인 수업임에도 불구하고 온라인상에서 추가적인 부담을 주는 Moodle이 잘 활용될 수 있을까 하는 의문부터 시작하였다. Moodle의 활용으로서는 학습자의 수준에 따른 상이한 과제의 부과 및 퀴즈응시를 시도해보았다. 마지막으로 정기시험 성적과의 관계에 관하여 살펴보았다. 결론적으로 Moodle의 활용을 통하여 학습자간의 개인차를 반영할 수 있는 가능성을 확인하였으며, 분반간의 차이도 온라인 상에서 해결할 수 있지 않을까 제안할 수 있었다. 앞으로의 과제로서 학습자의 개인차에 따른 추가학습의 기회를 Moodle에서 제공할 수 있는 방안을 생각해보고자 한다.

Among language-related lessons in liberal arts education, Japanese language classes are mainly conducted at the beginner level. The challenge in this learning environment is the big difference between students who have taken beginner-level Japanese and those who have not. In addition, if there are several divided classes, there may be differences in the composition of students of each class. In the past, this was regarded as a personal problem, but this study used the Moodle, learning management system, to solve the problem in a face-to-face class. This research examines how I used Moodle to resolve the challenge of the students` different language ability levels. In my use of Moodle, I assigned different tasks according to the students` levels and required all the students to take a quiz. Then I compared the students` scores on Moodle with their off-line test scores. This study concluded that Moodle could be customized to the students` different language ability levels . The results suggest that online resources such as Moodle can resolve the challenge of having students with different language levels. Based on the results, future research could examine ways in which Moodle can provide additional learning opportunities for learners with different abilities .
