For the purposes of this article, a comparative research on fox wife tale in Korea and Japan, especially from the fox child perspective. There are many differences can be found in two fox tales. First of all, Fox wife and the child are consistently described as negative images in the Korean fox tales, but they are drawn as positive images in Japan fox tales. This differences are caused by the description of relationship with fox and human. While, it was just sexual relationship in the Korean fox tales, it was a legal marriage in Japanese fox tales. Secondly, there are two different perceptions can be found towards the fox wife. While, the fox was described as a returning the favor for the man in Japanese fox tales, it was described as a male-luring, taboo-breaking existence in the Korean tales. Lastly, even though both tales acknowledges the sacredness of fox, the methods differ widely. While, the sacredness of fox was inherited by the fox child in the Japanese tales, it was only obtained by the magical bead in Korean tales.
