이 연구는 이미 검토한 바 있는 공적 욕망에 대응하는 은폐된 욕망에 관한 것이다. 북한은 공민들의 사적 영역을 강제하고 있어 표면상으로는 사적 영역이 존재하지 않는 것처럼 보인다. 그렇기 때문에 북한의 공식문학을 통해 개인의 내면을 읽어내는 것은 쉬운 일은 아니다. 그러나 욕망을 통해 본다면 북한 공민들의 내면을 좀 더 쉽게 파악할 수 있다. 특히 은폐된 욕망은 공민의 다양한 욕망과 지향을 보여준다는 점에서 주목해야할 부분이다. 은폐된 욕망은 공적 욕망 속에서 은폐되어 있는 개인욕망일 수도 있으며, 철저하게 사적인 욕망일 수도 있다. 공적 욕망에 개인적 욕망이 개입 되었을 때 그 욕망이 좌절되는 반면 은폐정치를 통해 드러나는 욕망은 사적욕망뿐 아니라 공적 욕망까지도 성취시켜 주고 있음을 작품을 통해 확인할 수 있었다.

This paper refers to the concealed desire which counters to the public desire already reviewed in the earlier works. In North Korea, externally there seems no private domain because North Korean authorities entirely control the private domain of the North Korean people. On this score, it is not easy task that we could catch hold of personal inside through the North Korean official literatures. However, we can understand easily the interior of North Korean citizens by means of the desire revealed in literary works of North Korean writers. Especially, we need to pay attention to the concealed desire, which show the varieties of desire and intentions of the North Korean people. The concealed desire could be a private desire covered-up under the official desire, and also could be thoroughly private desire. While the private desire interposed in the public desire was frustrated, however, I could confirm that the desire revealed by the concealed politics could realize not only the private desire but also the public desire.
