이 논문에서는 『내 생에』의 주인공 미흔이 외상적인 현실에서 탈출하기 위해 상징적 자살을 감행하고 그를 통해 구가하는 절대적 자유의 지점을 살펴보았다. 그럼에도 불구하고 그녀의 에필로그가 허허로우면서 답답해 보이는 것은 그녀의 상징적 자살과 절대적 자유가 필연적으로 `해방`과 연관될 수 없기 때문이다. 정신분석학적 의미에서 `해방`은 궁극적으로 우리의 짐을 큰 타자에게 옮기는 데 있기 때문이다. 미흔의 일탈은 기존의 큰 타자에서 벗어나 다른 큰 타자의 준거를 구성하는 과정이 함축된 행위가 아니라, 그보다는 사회적 존재의 죽음과 주체의 궁핍화를 초래하는 탈주의 성격이 짙다. 그런 점에서 『내 생에』는 현실에서 가능하지 않으며 상상에서나 가능한, 존재가 황홀하게 부서지는 환타지의 시연에 집중한 소설이라고 할 수 있다. 미흔이 모든 것을 잃고 서있는 에필로그의 이미지는, 상징적인 현실로부터 물러난 실재계의 흔적이라고 하겠다. 미흔은 상징적인 질서가 구성하는 현실적인 모든 것을 버렸고 잃었다. 오히려 불가사의한 생의 의욕 앞에서 그녀의 모든 사회적 인연들은 그 의미가 희미해지고, 그녀는 휑뎅그렁한 `있음`으로 축소된다. 그러나 실재계라는 낯설고도 두려운 존재와 대면한 그녀에게서 역설적으로 밑바닥으로 침잠한 어떤 고요가 느껴진다. 앞으로 그녀에게 떠오르는 일만 남아 있을지도 모르겠다. 그런 의미에서 미흔의 에필로그는 완벽한 종말이 아니라 하나의 전환점이 될 것이다. 그러나 이는 또 다른 새로운 서사의 시작이지 『내 생에』의 서사는 아니다. 그녀는 아니 전경린의 여주인공, `그녀들`은 다른 서사에서 귀환하고 있다. 그녀들이 어떻게 그리고 어떤 모습으로 돌아오는지, 후고로 기약하기로 한다.

This essay is a study that the heroin, Mi-heun in 『The Special Day, the Only Day in My Life』(『The Special Day』) takes decisive action, the symbolic suicide and the absolute liberty for the sake escaping the trauma-actuality. Nevertheless her epilogue weighs heavily upon a reader, because her symbolic suicide and absolute liberty are not associated with an emancipation necessarily. Psychoanalytically, `an emancipation` is that person removes one`s burden into `the Other` ultimately. Mi-heun`s departure implies not a standard of another `the Other`, but a atmosphere of fleeing, that bring about the death of social ego and subjective destitution. Accordingly 『The Special Day』 is the novel that shows the fantasy, this is the drive that is impossible to realize in the actuality, and ecstasy of destruction of being. The imaginary of Mi-heun`s epilogue is the traces of the real. Mi-heun throw or lose the everything of the actuality that is composed of the symbolic. Preferably her social relations become dim and she is reduced to be in existence deserted, nevertheless the mystery will of living. But paradoxically a certain silence is felt to her. It is silence that gone down to the bottom of the being. In connection with it, Mi-heun`s epilogue is not perfect close of life but a turning point. But This is the beginning of the new narrative, not the narrative of 『The Special Day』. The author, Jeon, kyeong-rin`s heroins return home from now on in another narrative. These aspect of hers return is studied after this.
