본고의 목적은 「옹고집전」의 텍스트 분석을 통해 조선조 사회의 이데올로기가 어떠한 양상으로 구현되었는지를 살펴보고, 또한 그 속에 나타나는 서사 전략과 「옹고집전」에 내재하는 지배이데올로기의 재현적 구성 원리를 고찰하는 데 있다. 「옹고집전」은 서술자가 이데올로기를 표현하기 위해 드러낸 서술적 전략이 일정한 서사 구조의 틀 속에서 자리잡고 있다. 이러한 서사 구조는 텍스트 속에서 구조적 요소들 간의 관계 양상들을 통해 드러난다. 이를 통해, 작품 속에 등장하는 인물이 길들여지고, 이 등장인물의 `길들이기` 과정에서 이데올로기는 부각되고 공고하게 된다. 따라서 이러한 인물의 길들이기 과정과 그에 따른 이데올로기의 작동 원리를 설명할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 이러한 원리를 통해, 조선조의 사회적 담론이라는 것이 `호명 메카니즘`과 어떻게 상호 관련되어 있는지 살펴볼 수 있고, 또 그 관련성 사이에서 작용하는 이분법적 자질이 개별 작품 속에서 작동하는 `길들이기` 양상과 어떻게 연관되는지도 볼 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the ideology of Ong-go-zip-jun in Cho-sun Dynasty. And, through the text analysis, this thesis is intended to consider narrative strategy and representational principles of the dominant ideology in Ong-go-zip-jun. I consider a narrative structure and a strategy of representation of ideology. Ong-go-zip-jun shows the taming mechanism from a loss of reason for being to the restoration of it. Ong-go-zip is tamed through this process, and the ideology of community is more reinforced than before. I examine how a social discourse in Cho-sun Dynasty is connected with to hailing mechanism. And I investigate how a set of binary oppositions on it is related to taming.
