언간의 문법은 언간이 작성된 그 당시의 문법 질서를 반영한 것일 터인데, 이러한 문법적 특징들 가운데는, 간본 자료에서 나타나지 않는 문법 현상들이 언간 자료에서 나타나기도 하며, 간본 자료에서 후대에 나타나는 문법적 특징들이 언간에서는 이른 시기에 나타나기도 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 언간의 언어 현상 중에서 간본과 구별되는 문법적 특징들을 제시함으로써 언간의 문법적 특징을 부각시키는 데 있다. 본 연구에서는 언간의 문법적 특징으로 형용사와 명령형 어미의 결합, `X -`의 특수 교체, 선어말어미 `-거-`와 `-엇-`, 주격조사 `가`와 보조사 `마□`, 부정문, 경어법을 통하여 언간의 문법적 특징을 드러내었다.

The grammars of Eon`gan(vernacular letters) reflect the grammar of the day that Eon`gans were written. Grammatical characteristics that do not appear in the printed book reveal in Eon`gan and Grammatical characteristics that appear lately in the printed book reveal even earlier. This paper aims to highlight the grammatical characteristics of Eon`gan by presenting distinct characteristics from printed book in grammatical characteristics of Eon`gan. This paper revealed grammatical characteristics of Eon`gan through combination of adjective and imperative endings, special alternation of `Xha-`, prefinal endings `-geo-` and `-eot-`, nominative case particle `ga`, auxiliary particle `maran`, grammatical negation and addressee-honorifics.
