이 논문은 김수영의 시론 「시여, 침을 뱉어라」에서 펼쳐놓은 주요개념들인 `모호성`, `혼돈`, `자유` `참여시`를 키워드로 삼아, 김수영을 통해 사유할 수 있는 `시와 정치`의 논제들을 탐색해보았다. 김수영은 “모호성의 탐색이 급기야는 참여시의 효용성의 주장에까지 다다”랐다고 요약했는데, 그에게 모호성은 시작(詩作)을 위한 정신구조의 첨단에 놓이는 미지의 정신이었다. 이러한 모호성은 `내 안의 타자성`에 대한 감각이라 할 수 있는데, 이를 통해 타자들의 세계인 무한대의 혼돈에의 시적 접촉과 작용이 발생한다. 혼돈에의 완전한 자유는 김수영에게 미적 조건이자 실천의 실체였다. 그런데 정치적 불일치의 논쟁점들을 자유롭게 횡단하는 혼돈의 미적 실천이 현실 정치적으로 억압되고 있다는 데서 참여시에 대한 요구가 가시화된다. 김수영에게 있어서 시의 정치성은 미학적 필연성에 매개되어 있다. 그러므로 김수영은 정치적인 전위의 미학성을 또한 늘 문제삼고 있었다. 김수영은 `미적인 것`이 어떻게 `정치적인 것`으로 존재하게 되는가를 탐색했다고 하겠다. 우리는 김수영을 통하여 `미적 전위`와 `정치적인 전위`의 간극을 매개하는 시적 논리와 실천의 한 사례를 들여다볼 수 있다. 김수영의 시론은 오늘날 `시와 정치`의 관계를 물을 때 다시 참조할 수 있는 흥미로운 현재형의 텍스트다.

This study searches the subjects of `poetry and politics` which can be considered through Kim Su-young. The key words for the purpose of the study are `ambiguity,` `chaos,` `freedom,` and `engagement poetry,` which he suggested in "Spit, Poetry!" Kim Su-young thought that the unknown mind, `ambiguity,` could be reached at the cutting edge of mind structure. `Ambiguity` is the mind which is able to contact `chaos` of the world. `Freedom` is the precondition on which we can poetically enjoy chaos of the world, boiling over by numerous discord and differences. But lack of freedom in realities of life tries to control chaos of the world with single ideology. At the point of clash between poetic freedom and lack of freedom in realities of life is derived the necessity of `engagement poetry.` Kim Su-young probed how `the aesthetic` came to exist as `the political.` In his case, we can look into a way of poetic practise which mediates between `the aesthetic avant-garde` and `the political avant-garde.`
