본 논문은 도널드 트럼프의 대선 승리가 미국정치체제에 미치는 함의를 살펴보고, 새 미국 행정부의 세계전략을 탐구하고자 한다. 이를 위해 탈냉전기 미국 대전략과 의회/정당정치의 연속성과 변화를 분석함으로써, 트럼프 행정부가 기존의 자유주의적 합의에서 이탈하여 새로운 민족주의적 국내외정책을 구사할 것이란 점을 밝힌다. 아울러, 본 논문은 트럼프의 잭슨주의적 외교정책이 동북아 지역과 한반도에 끼칠 영향을 예측하고, 결론적으로 트럼프 당선이 자유세계질서의 미래에 미칠 시대적 의미에 대해 논의한다.

This research aims to explore the implications of Donald J. Trump`s presidential victory for the U.S. political system and search for a Trump doctrine. By analyzing continuity and change in post-Cold War American grand strategy, we argue that the Trump administration will pursue new nationalist policies, domestic and abroad, departing from the reigning liberal consensus. In addition, this article attempts to predict the way Trump`s Jacksonian foreign policy will alter the international dynamics in Northeast Asia and the Korean peninsula. In conclusion, we discuss the epochal significance of a Trump presidency regarding the future of the liberal world order.
