By the request from KLTRAC(Korean Language Teaching and Research Association of China), this paper was written to analyze the current status of TKM(Test for Korean Major) which was designed for the evaluation of Korean academic proficiency. The paper pointed out the existent problems of test questions and Korean language education, further put forward the future subjects of TKM and Korean education, in terms of giving an analysis on examination properties and purpose, examination content and form, scores of different test areas with emphasis on the TKM4 and TKM8 conducted in 2015.
