이 글은 한국문학치료학회 제51회 학술대회에서 발표한 것으로, 필자의 소설을 창작자의 입장에서 분석해 본 것이다. 출판된 텍스트를 기본으로 한 편의 장편소설과 일곱 편의 단편소설을 근거로 소설 속에 총 다섯 개의 모티프를 추출해 냈다. 이는 가족의 문제, 해외 공간, 사회 소수자, 우주적 시선, 구원의 원이라는 공통의 문제의식으로 묶어 볼 수 있었다. 이들 다섯 가지 모티프를 중심으로 살펴본 결과 필자의 소설이 근본적인 뿌리로 자기 긍정의 서사를 추출해 낸다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이는 삶의 어두운 부분을 직접 체험하고 난 뒤 그 실상을 파악하는 것이었다. 소설의 갈등과 해결은 본디 성숙한 인식에 이르는 결과를 그리는 일련의 과정과 같다. 이 글에서는 필자의 소설이 그와 같은 주제의식을 갖고 있는 까닭을 삶의 경험을 토대로 한 세계관의 입장에서 분석해보았다. 소설 창작은 개인 서사를 기록한 것으로 작가 자신의 세계관을 그대로 담고 있는 것이다. 이 글에서는 필자의 소설을 이루는 가장 중요한 모티프를 중심으로 그 형상화를 살펴보았다. 이 과정을 통하여 문학의 생성 과정을 생생히 따라가 보고 그 실현이 어떻게 이루어지는지 살펴보는 것에 이 글의 목적이 있다.

This paper is to analyze the novels I wrote as a creator. Based on published texts-one long novel and seven short novels-, I extract five motif. There are family affair, overseas, social minority, a view of the universe, and the circle of salvation. Focusing on those five motif, I found that my own novel is based on self-positivity which understands reality after experiencing the dark side of life. The solution and conflict of novel is to reach the mature awareness. After analyzing my own novels, I found that the reason I have those five motif is related to my own experience in real life. Creating novel is to record the creator`s personal epic which includes the view of the world. I observe the relationship between five motif which is the basis of novels and my real life. Also I confirm that my actual experience has effect on my novel.
