본 논고에서는 문학이 가지는 치료적 개념을 토대로 문학치료에 대한 접근법과 연구방법에 대해 본원적인 검토를 해보고자 하였다. 논의의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 병이라는 개념은 의학적, 철학적, 심리적, 사회적 측면에서 다양한 관점으로 정의하는 것이 필요하다. 이를 통해 개인과 사회를 모두 아우르는 병리적 현상을 입체적으로 이해하는 것이 선행되어야 한다. 둘째, 치료의 개념 또한 의학적, 철학적, 사회적, 종교적, 예술적 측면을 아우르는 다양한 관점에서의 접근이 필요하다. 의학적 관점에서 볼 때 문학치료는 완치, 재활, 예방, 완화치료의 관점을 모두 포괄할 수 있으며, 철학적 관점에서 볼 때 자기가 가지고 있는 자기서사를 성찰할 수 있게 하는 기회를 제공해줄 수 있다. 사회적 관점에서 볼 때 문학치료는 사회적 병리현상을 고치는 관점에서 이해될 수 있으며, 종교적, 예술적 차원에서 볼 때 문학치료에서는 문학이 가지는 위로의 기능이 강화될 수 있다. 이러한 문학이 치료적 효과를 최대화하기 위해서는 문학이 독자에게 주는 치료적 효과를 다른 제반적 환경을 모두 고려하여 총체적으로 이해하는 것이 중요하며, 문학이 가지는 본래적 기능을 충분히 발휘할 수 있게 해주는 것이 필요하다. 문학치료의 연구방법은 치료적 기능에 대한 분석 연구, 질적 연구 등의 다양한 접근법이 활성화될 필요가 있으며, 문학이 가지고 있는 예술적, 심미적 가치에 대한 평가 또한 배제할 수 없는 영역이다.
The purpose of this paper is to discuss about therapeutic function in the literacy. The results of this paper are as follows. Firstly, state of illness is needed to be conceptualized in the medical, socio-medical, philosophical, psychological, social perspectives. From this multi-dimensional perspective, illness phenomenon should be understood with comprehensive view which encompass individual and society as well. Secondly, therapeutics should be approached with medical, philosophical, social, religious, artistic perspectives. From the medical perspective, literary therapeutics could encompass concept of full recovery, rehabilitation, prevention, and rehabilitation. From the psychological perspective, `the epic of self` could be compared with `a literary work` and gain the chance to introspect itself. From the social perspective, literary therapeutics could be understood to be the measure to fix the illness state of society. From the religious and artistic perspectives, the function of consolation could be emphasized. To maximize therapeutic function of the literacy, the therapeutic function of the literacy should be understood with reader`s environment comprehensively and the original function of literacy is need to be maximized. The literary therapeutics is need to encompass various types of research methodology such as analytic approach of therapeutic function, qualificative research method. And assessing the artistic and aesthetic value of literacy should not be underestimated.
