이 논문은 <옥단춘전>에 나타난 옥단춘의 지감능력의 의미를 문학치료적 관점에 의거하여 분석하고자 한 것이다. 작품에서 이혈룡은 추레하고 무능해 보여 여기서 이혈룡의 `비범성`을 포착하기는 어려워 보였다. 그래서 그동안의 연구에서는 비범성의 근거를 소설의 결말부에서 찾으려하거나 혹은 소설 <옥단춘전>의 가치가 저평가되기도 하였다. 그러나 본고에서는 옥단춘이 이혈룡과의 첫만남에서 미래를 예측하고 이혈룡을 도와줄 수 있었던 옥단춘의 지감능력을 하나의 서사파악능력으로 이해함으로써, 결코 계산적인 행동방식이 아니라 이혈룡의 삶을 조망함으로써 연애감정을 증폭시키는 계기일 수 있음을 알게 되었다. 특히 옥단춘이 이혈룡에게서 발견한 단서들은 매우 단편적인 것들이었지만 그것들이 내포하는 서사는 <흥보가>에서 관계를 지속하는 데 집중하며 착함을 실천했던 흥보의 서사와 닮아있음을 확인하였다. 따라서 옥단춘은 단편적인 사건만으로도 이혈룡의 삶을 조망할 만큼의 지감을 소유했다는 점에서 뛰어난 서사능력을 소유한 인물이라고 보았다. 그리고 이러한 서사능력은 오늘날 우리가 연애를 성공적으로 견인하는 데에도 매우 유용한 요건일 수 있음도 확인할 수 있었다. 이는 우리가 이성을 선택하고 연애를 할 적에 발생하는 판단의 착오를 최소화할 수 있는 지침이 될 수도 있다는 것을 전망해 볼 수 있겠다.

This paper is to reveal the capability of Ji-gam(知感能力) and the meaning of literary therapeutics on Gojeonsoseul < Ok Taan Chun Cheon >. So I analyzed Ok Taan-Chunon`s the capability of Ji-gam(知感能力) in viewpoint of literary therapeutics. We are difficult to discover an uncommon quality of Lee Hyeol-ryong because he looks like an untidy and incompetent person at the opening part of < Ok Taan Chun Cheon >. So < Ok Taan Chun Cheon > has been estimated lowly by some researcher. But I understand that the capability of Ji-gam(知感能力) is not cupboard way of behaving but opportunity of increasing the emotion of love through viewing Lee Hyeol-ryong`s life, by regarding Ok Taan-Chunon`s the capability of Ji-gam(知感能力) as the capability of epic. Especially, Lee Hyeol-ryong`s life is similar to hung-bo`s life in viewpoint of epical structure. For instance, the epic of Lee Hyeol-ryong is similar that hung-bo practices goodness by concentrating his mind on maintaining human relations. So I see that Ok Taan-Chunon has superior capability of epic, because she discovers the epic of hung-bo in Lee Hyeol-ryong`s life. And I make sure that this ability is useful to guide successful love nowadays. If we have this capability of epic, we should reduce making a mistakes when we select and love the other sex.
