본고는 문학 교과와 경제 교과의 공통 목표인 `인간 행동에 대한 이해`를 심화시키고자 `이타적 인간`에 대한 융합교육 내용을 제안하였다. `이타적 인간`은 일상적 인간관인 `경제적 인간`에 대비되는 개념으로 경제 교과와 문학교과 양 측에서 의문을 자아내고 탐구를 촉진시키는 소재이기에 융합교육의 제재로 적절하다. 본고에서는 `이타적 인간`의 행동에 어떠한 합리성이 있는지를 탐구하는 교육 내용을 제시하기 위해 행동경제학의 관점을 활용하여 고전소설 <창선감의록>의 주인공 `화진`의 이타성을 분석하였다. 지금까지 문학교과의 `이타적 인간`은 그 희생적인 모습이 강조되어 숭고하고 이상적인 인간으로만 여겨져 왔고 경제 교과의 `이타적 인간`은 합리적 선택과는 거리가 먼 인간상으로 여겨져 왔는데, 교과 융합의 시도를 통해 이해하기 어려운 인간의 행동에 대해 심층적이고 입체적으로 이해할 여지가 마련되었다. 본고의 시도는 학습자의 `인간관`을 보다 유연하고 현실적인 것으로 만드는 데 기여하리라 본다.

The purpose of this study was to suggest the contents of convergence education for `altruistic human` in order to deepen understanding of human behavior which is a common goal of literature education and economy education. The altruistic human is a concept that contrasts with the `economic human`, which is a classical human-view, and is a educational theme that promotes inquiries from both sides of economy and literature education. In order to accomplish this research purpose, the following research questions are constructed examining the viewpoint of behavioral economics, and applying that viewpoint to analyze Hwa Jin, a main character of classical novel Changseongamuirok. The findings of analysis showed that the altruistic actions of Hwa Jin have a rationality in securing the unity of the family, restoring the status of the family and nation, and spreading the principle of reformation. These findings can lead learners to understand stereoscopically about ethical characters in literary works, and understand extensively about the rational choice of economic activities. The result of this study will contribute to making the learners` human views more flexible and realistic.
