본 연구는 질적인 상담서비스 제공을 위해 필수적인 수준 높은 상담자 교육을 실시하기 위해 상담교육인증체제를 구축하는 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 교육부로부터 평가인증기관으로 지정받아 학과인증을 시행하고 있는 간호학, 경영학, 건축학, 공학, 의학, 치의학 등 6개 학문분야와 미국의 상담교육인증체제를 분석하였다. 각 학문 분야는 사단법인 또는 재단법인의 형태로 인증기관을 설립한 후 지속적인 인증사업을 수행하였고, 인증기관 설립 후 최소 7년에서 최대 14년이 경과한 후 교육부로부터 평가인증기관으로 지정되었다. 인증기관에는 해당학과, 학회, 산업체 등이 참여하고 있으며, 기관의 정관과 인증을 위해 필요한 절차와 서류양식을 갖추고 있었다. 분석내용을 기초로 하여 한국형 상담교육체제 구축방안으로 상담교육인증기구 설립, 평가인증기관 정관(안), 상담교육인증 실시 절차를 제시하였고, 이를 실현하기 위한 과제를 살펴보았다.

The purpose of this study is to establish a counseling education accreditation system in order to provide high quality counselor training that is essential for providing good counseling services. To accomplish this, we analyzed six disciplines such as nursing, business administration, architecture, engineering, medicine, and dentistry, which have been designated as evaluation accreditation bodies by the Ministry of Education and accrediation system of counseling education of USA. Each discipline has established a accreditation body in the form of a corporate body or foundation, and has continuously accredited many departments. The accreditation body has been designated by the Ministry of Education after at least seven years and at most 14 years after the establishment of the body. The relevant departments, academic societies, and industries have participated in the accreditation body, and had the necessary procedures and document forms for the articles of association and accreditation. Based on the contents of the analysis, we proposed the establishment of the evaluation accreditation institution and the procedure of the counseling education accreditation as a plan to build the Korean counseling education accreditation system.
