본 연구는 뇌병변장애인을 대상으로 영상매체를 활용한 통합예술치료프로그램을 실시하여 뇌병변장애인의 자아존중감, 임파워먼트 및 대인관계에 미치는 효과를 검증하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 이러한 목적을 위해 B광역시 소재 A장애인 자립생활센터에서 프로그램 참여의사를 나타낸 20명 중 10명을 실험집단으로, 10명을 통제집단으로 무선배정하였다. 프로그램 운영은 매주 2회 5주간 한 차시마다 120분씩 총 10차시 실시하였다. 실험집단에는 영상매체를 활용한 통합예술치료프로그램을 실시했으며, 통제집단에는 아무런 처치를 가하지 않았다. 프로그램의 효과를 검증하기 위하여 실험집단과 통제집단에 자아존중감, 임파워먼트, 대인관계 척도를 사전, 사후 검사로 사용하였고, 수집된 데이터는 공변량분석(ANCOVA)과 대응표본 t검증으로 분석하였다. 연구의 결과는 영상매체를 활용한 통합예술치료프로그램이 뇌병변장애인의 자아존중감 향상과 임파워먼트 향상 그리고 대인관계 향상에 유의한 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구 결과는 참여자가 영화와 사진을 감상하는 감상예술치료활동과 영상과 사진을 직접 촬영하는 표현예술치료접근을 통해 자신의 생각과 감정을 나눔으로써 자신과 타인에 대한 이해를 돕고, 자기 수용을 하는데 효과적임과 창조적 예술 활동으로 자신의 상황을 통제하고 문제 해결에 적극적 태도를 가지게 할 수 있음을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of an image media-aided integrated art therapy program on the self-esteem, empowerment and interpersonal relationship of disabled people with brain lesion. The subjects in this study were 20 selected people in A center for independent living in an B metropolitan city who expressed their intention to participate in an image media-aided integrated art therapy program. Out of them, 10 people from the center were randomly assigned as an experimental group, and 10 people were randomly assigned as a control group. An integrated art therapy program was provided by using image media in 10 sessions, 120 minutes each. The experimental group participated in the program, and no action was taken to the control group during the period. To determine the effect of the program, pretest and posttest were conducted to evaluate the self-esteem, empowerment and interpersonal relationship of the experimental and control groups, and data were analyzed by ANCOVA and paired t-test. The findings of the study were as follows: The experimental group that participated in the image media- aided integrated art therapy program showed better improvement in self-esteem and empowerment and interpersonal relationship than the control group that didn`t. The findings of the study indicated that the program was effective to boost the self-esteem, empowerment and interpersonal relationship of the disabled people with brain lesion. And also it is proven that integrated art therapy using cinema and photography suggests effect on improving self understanding, self acception, interpersonal relation understanding and improving self-control capability, problem solving ability by creative art activity.
