우리는 이 소고에서 핀테크에 대해서 고찰한다. 제4차 산업혁명과 핀테크는 어떻게 연결되어 있는가를 살펴보고, 관련하여 핀테크의 특성들을 설명할 것이다. 그리고 기존의 금융공학은 핀테크에 어떻게 사용될 수 있는지도 고찰할 것이다. 특히 운영위험 관리, 그 중에서도 네트워크 구조 상에서의 위험관리가 중요함을 이야기할 것이다.

In this note we provide a short explanation of Fintech. We investigate how the 4th industrial revolution causes innovations in the financial services industry, and how these innovations are related to fintech. We also explore the relationship between fintech and traditional financial engineering. We show operational risk management and, in particular, risk management of networks consisting of individuals, businesses, and clearinghouses are important in fintech.
