이 연구는 현대 사회의 문제를 교육적으로 해결하기 위해서는 전면적이든 부분적이든 통합 교육이 필요하다는 전제 아래, 배려를 중심으로 국어과와 도덕과의 교과 통합 교육 과정의 내용에 대해 탐색해 본 논의이다. 이를 위해 제2장에서는 국어과와 도덕과에서 논의된 배려와 배려 교육의 개념들을 살펴보고 이를 바탕으로 배려적 언어를 매개로 하는 국어과와 도덕과의 통합 교육의 필요성과 방향을 고찰해 보았다. 그런 다음 제3장에서는 배려적 언어 사용 중심의 국어과와 도덕과의 통합 교육과정을 설계해 보고, 이런 교육과정을 뒷받침하는 구체적 교육 내용에 대해서도 논의해 보았다. 모든 교육적 논의는 교육적 실천을 통해 의미 있는 논의가 될 수 있다. 본고에서 제안한 교육 내용이나 교수-학습 방안에 대한 논의들도 후속 연구에 의해 구체화되고 검증되어 실제 교육 현장에서 유용하게 실행되어야 의미를 가질 수 있을 것이다. 그리하여 우리의 논의가 배려하고 배려받는 학교와 사회를 만드는 데에 조금이라도 기여하기를 희망한다.

This research is to explore the contents of integrated curriculum of Korean language education and moral education focused on caring. In chapter 2, the concepts of caring and caring education discussed in Korean language education and moral education were examined in detail. Based on these, the needs and the direction to integrate Korean language education and moral education were considered as well. The integrated curriculum of Korean language education and moral education focused on caring was designed in chapter 3 and its detailed educational contents were discussed next. Any educational discussion would not be meaningful without educational practice. The educational contents suggested in this research and discussions about methods of teaching and learning would also be meaningful when they are specified and verified in further study and practiced in real educational settings. It is hoped that our discussion could contribute for making schools and our society to take care and to be taken care of.
