본고는 약포 시 가운데 임란체험을 잘 보여주는 37수를 대상으로 시적 형상화를 세 방면으로 접근했다. 첫째, 임란 전말의 실상에 나타난 시적 특징이다. <난후기행>은 임란 기간 동안 전장에서 목도한 전란의 참상과 종전 후의 일까지 임진란 전말을 시간적 추이에 따라 사건을 전개함으로써 임진란 전모를 볼 수 있는 서사성을 갖추었다. 둘째, 전장의 참혹한 현장을 가감없이 묘사함으로써 사실성의 부각이란 시적 특징을 지닌다. `민(憫)`이 시제(詩題)에 포함된 11수에는 다양한 공간을 배경으로 각 공간에서 빚어진 전쟁의 참혹성을 사실적으로 묘사하여 비극적인 전장의 다양한 스펙트럼을 펼쳤다. 셋째, 조선의 원군으로 온 명장(明將)을 추앙하는 시에서 보여준 약포의 진정성이다. 송별하는 대상의 진정성에 따라 의례적 차원에서의 추앙과 진심어린 감사의 뜻으로 나눠진다.

This study set out to investigate the poetic imagery of 37 poems expressing the experiences of the Imjinran (壬亂, Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592) among Yakpo`s poems in three aspects as follows. First, the study reviewed the poetic features found from the reality in the whole of the Imjinran. < Nanhugihaeng(亂後紀行) > described the whole story of the Imjinran from the horrors of war found at the battlefield to the story after the war according to temporal change. Therefore, the < Nanhugihaeng > is an epic poetry to show the whole story of the Imjinran. Second, his poems have poetic features to show truth by describing the miserable state of the battlefield. Eleven poems including `Min(憫)` in the title of poem had described the horrendous reality of war occurred at the diverse spaces and showed the various spectrums of tragic battlefield. Third, the study found Yakpo`s sincerity to revere Ming dynasty`s commander who was sent as the reinforcement for Joseon dynasty. Yakpo wrote formally poems describing reverence and heartfelt appreciation, depending on the sincerity of parting person.
