창의성은 새로운 것에 대한 성과물이다. 발견의 과정은 일상의 삶과 연결되어 있고, 중요한 것은 대부분 일상생활을 즐기는 가운데 새롭게 발견된다는 점이다. 창의성은 외부의 요인에 의해 결정되기 보다는 우리가 몸담고 있는 문제에 대한 통합적인 이해에서 비롯되는 경우가 많다. 많은 경우 창의적인 사유는 일상적이고 습관적인 삶 가운데서 만들어지고, 대체적으로 행복함을 느끼는 감정과 연관되어 형성된다. 본 연구에서는 서도호와 후세인 샬라얀(Hussein Chalayan 이하 샬라얀으로 칭함)의 작품을 1900년 후반부터 현재까지 진행된 작품들을 대상으로 미술관 및 전시관 관람, 인터뷰 자료, 문헌 및 논문, 인터넷 기타 보도 자료 등을 중심으로 진행하였다. 이를 통해 세계적인 현대 미술 작가 서도호와 세계적인 디자이너 샬라얀의 작품에 나타난 작가의 창의적 사고의 원천을 1)경험적 기억의 형상화와 2)우연의 최소화, 개입의 극대화를 통한 일상적 시공간의 재현으로 파악하였다. 본 연구에서 작가들의 작품을 분석한 결과 작가의 창의적 발상이 작가의 과거 경험적 요소에 그 바탕을 두고 있었으며, 이는 작품을 통해 반영되고 형상화되고 있음을 살펴볼 수 있었다. 따라서, 본 연구에서 창의성에 대한 고찰을 통해 살펴본 예술과 패션 디자인에서 창의적인 아이디어 작업을 발상 프로세스로 도출하였다. 이는 향후 디자인 교육에서 있어서 학생들 개개인이 가진 경험적 사유를 바탕으로 한 창의성을 향상시키는데 효과적인 사례가 될 수 있음을 보여준다.

Creativity involves the production of novelty. The process of discovery involved in creating something new appears to be one of the most enjoyable activities any human can be involves in. Which place is best depends on the total configuration of a person`s characteristics and those of the task he or she is involved in. The more flow we experience in daily life, the more likely we are to feel happy overall. This study has analysed the work of Doho Suh and Hussein Chalayan in gallery, interview, literature data and internet., etc. from the end of 1900s to 2013. As a result, an international artist or/and designer, Doho Suh and Hussein Chalayan have shown creative thinking resources in their work process based on 1) configuration of experiential memory 2) reproducing time and space through limited accident and unlimited intervention. It means artist`s creative idea related with passed experience and which can be an appearance into his work. In this study, there is a developed process via creative work in art and fashion design. Using student`s individual experience in design class can be help every single student`s creative ideas development in the future.
