본 논문은 2000년에서 2016년까지의 언어학 관련 학술지에 발표된 논문을 중심으로 그간의 담화분석 연구의 성과를 반성적으로 되돌아봄으로써 언어학에서의 담화분석에 대한 이해도를 높이고, 향후 나아갈 방향을 모색해보고자 했다. 이를 위해 2장에서는 담화분석 연구의 범위를 획정(劃定)하고 분석 절차를 간략하게 소개했으며, 3장에서는 연구 대상 논문들을 `연구 자료, 연구 방법, 연구주제`로 나눠 분석한 결과를 바탕으로 연구 성과들을 소개했다. 마지막 4장에서는 논의 및 결론으로 향후 연구 과제에 대해 논했다. 논의 결과, 언어학에서의 담화분석 연구들은 연구 방법이나 연구 주제 면에서 다각도로 의미 있는 연구 성과들을 도출해 냈음을 확인할 수 있었다. 하지만 양적으로 크게 부족했으며, 신문 텍스트에 집중된 경향이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 담화분석 연구는 향후 언어학이 중심이 되어야 할 것으로 본다. 문법론, 의미론, 화용론, 텍스트언어학 등의 방법론 원용(援用)은 담화분석에 연구자 개인에 좌우되지 않는 `엄격함`과 주변 학문 분야와 차별되는 `독창성`을 제공해 줄 것으로 기대한다. 그리고 담화에 스며들어 숨어 있는 권력과 이념을 가시적으로 만들 수 있게 되며, 독자들에게 새로운 비판적 자각을 제공할 수 있게 될 것이다.

This paper aims to enhance an understanding of discourse analysis in linguistics and to explore a future direction by looking back upon the outcomes of discourse analysis researches reflectively, focusing on the linguistics-related papers in academic journals published from 2000 to 2016. For achieving this purpose, Chapter 2 defines the scope of discourse analysis researches and introduces the analysis procedure briefly, and Chapter 3 introduces the outcomes of researches by classifying the relevant papers into `research data`, `research methods` and `research topics`. Lastly, Chapter 4 presents a discussion and a conclusion and discusses future research tasks. The discussion finding showed that the existing discourse analysis researches in linguistics have produced meaningful outcomes from various angles, in relation to research methods and research topics. It is considered that discourse analysis research needs to center on linguistics in future. It is anticipated that the application of methodologies, including grammar, semantics, pragmatics and text linguistics would provide `rigorousness` not to depend on individual researchers for discourse analysis and `originality` to differentiate from surrounding fields of study. Moreover, it would be possible to visualize power and ideology hidden in discourse and provide a new critical awakening to readers.
