성취목표지향성과 자기주도학습능력 이론은 학습자에게는 중요한 요인이다. 이에 본 연구는 재한 중국유학생의 진로결정에 영향을 미치는 성취목표지향성이 무엇이며, 진로결정에 자기주도 학습능력이 어떠한 매개효과를 보이는지를 실증적으로 조사하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 충남과 전남광주지역의 대학교에 공부하는 중국유학생을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다. 연구결과, 성취목표지향성의 하위요인 접근지향성(숙달접근, 수해접근)은 진로결정에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 나타났고 회피지향성(숙달회피, 수행회피)은 진로결정에 유의한 영향을 미칠 것으로 나타났다. 또한 자기주도 학습능력은 모든 수준의 성취목표지향성과 진로결정에 매개효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 중국유학생들의 진로결정 할 때 자기주도 학습능력이 매우 중요한 요인이라 할 수 있다. 즉 중국유학생 대학생활 동안 학생들이 수동적으로 지식을 획득하게 하는 것이 아니라 능동적으로 자신에게 필요한 지식을 찾고 관리하며 활용하게 하는 방법을 찾도록 도와주는 것이 매우 중요하다고 볼 수 있다. 한국에서 진로결정에 어려움을 겪는 중국유학생을 대상으로 중국 학생들의 능동적인 자세를 이끌어 낼 수 있는 수업 주제나 활동을 추가시켜 대학생활 동안 주동적 학습태도를 갖도록 도와주는 것이 중요한다. 성취동기를 높일 수 있는 상담, 박람회 참가, 선후배 면담 등을 이용한다면 중국 유학생들이 진로를 결정하는데 많은 도움이 될 것으로 보인다.

Achievement Goal orientation and the theory of self-directed learning capability are crucial factors for the learners. Hence, this study aimed to investigate what goal orientation which influences the career decision among the Chinese students in Korea meant and how self-directed learning capability showed the mediated effect to the career decision. To do so, this study was conducted in the subjects with the Chinese students who studied in the universities in South Choongchung Province, South Cholla Province, and Gwangju City. Upon the study results, accessibility including skillful and implementing accesses which is a sub-element of goal orientation was shown to influence the career decision positively, and avoiding orientation including skillful and implementing avoidances was to influence the career decision significantly. In addition, self-directed learning capability was demonstrated to have mediated effects for all the levels of goal orientation and career decision. From these results, self-directed learning capability can be considered as the critical element when the Chinese students make decision on their careers. That means, it is very important to help the Chinese students seek the method not to acquire the knowledge passively but to manage and utilize the required knowledge actively. It is crucial to help them acquire self-directed learning attitude during the university period by adding the class topics or activities that can induce their active attitude. Using counseling, attending exhibitions, interviews with seniors and juniors, and so on to enhance the motivation of achievement, it seems to help the Chinese students decide their careers. .
