자료를 활용한 쓰기에는 자료 내용의 선택과 사용이라는 인지적 부담이 추가되기 때문에 자료를 활용하는 방법이 지도되어야 한다. 자료활용 방법에 대한 교육적 시사점을 얻기 위해서 필자가 자료를 읽고 사용하는 과정에 어떤 요인이 영향을 주는지를 밝힐 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 자료 활용에 영향을 주는 요인을 탐색하고, 요인 간 상관 및 쓰기 수준별 요인의 차이를 밝혀 교육적 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 연구 결과 ‘자료의 관련성 판단’, ‘자료 활용 경험 인식’, ‘자료 활용 여부 판단’, ‘자료의 신뢰성 확인’, ‘자료와 화제 지식의 관련’, ‘자료의 장르적 유용성 인식’이라는 6개 요인이 탐색 되었다. 이 중 ‘자료의 관련성 판단’과 ‘자료 활용 경험 인식’, ‘자료의 관련성 판단’과 ‘자료와 화제 지식의 관련’ 간에 가장 높은 상관이 있었고, ‘자료의 관련성 판단’, ‘자료와 화제지식의 관련’, ‘자료 활용 여부 판단’에서 쓰기 수준별 차이가 발견되었다. 이를 통해 자료 활용 쓰기 교육에 대한 시사점을 다음과 같이 제안한다. ‘자료의 관련성 판단’과 ‘자료와 화제 지식 관련’을 이원적으로 고려해야 한다. 또한 쓰기 수준에 따라 ‘자료의 관련성 판단’, ‘자료 활용 경험인식’, ‘자료 활용 여부 판단’에 대한 교육적 접근을 달리해야 한다. 그리고 학생들에게 자료를 활용한 글쓰기 경험을 제공해야 하며, 자료의 활용여부를 신중하게 고려하도록 해야 한다.

Since the cognitive burden of selecting and using the source contents add to the writing from sources, the method of utilizing the source text should be instructed. In order to obtain the educational implications, it is necessary to identify what factors influence the process of reading and using the source text. In this study, we investigated the factors that affect the utilizing source text and differences in factors by writing levels. As a result, there are six factors. Among them, there was the highest correlation between 'judging the relevance of source' and 'Perception of experience writing from sources', 'judging the relevance of source' and 'Relating source and topic knowledge'. And differences by writing level were found in three factors of 'judging the relevance of source', 'Relating source and topic knowledge', 'Judging whether source is available' This suggests the following implications. It is necessary to consider both the 'relevance of data' and 'data and topic knowledge'. And depending on the level of writing, there should be a different educational approach to 'judging the relevance of the data', 'perceiving the data utilization experience', and 'judging whether to use the data'. And students should be provided with writing experience using sources.
