백석 시를 중국어로 번역한다는 것은 결코 쉬운 일이 아니다. 토속적 언어와 전통적 문화가 함께 어우러진 그의 시에는 근대화 이전 한국인들의 고유한 정서가 깊숙이 함축되어 있기 때문이다. 번역은 한 언어를 다른 언어로 바꾸는 단순한 행위처럼 보이지만 사람들은 번역을 통하여 다른 나라의 문화를 접하고 다른 나라 사람들의 정서를 공유하면서 함께 감동하고 성장하기도 한다. 백석 시 중국어 번역은 이문화 간에 서로 소통할 수 있고 문화의 확장과 새로운 문화의 창조를 이루어낼 수 있다는 측면에서 의의가 있다고 생각한다. 따라서 본고는 백석 시에 등장하는 토속적인 세계와 다양한 전통 문화를 중국어권 독자들에게 소개하기 위해 시에 나타난 토속성과 관련된 요소를 친족어, 음식, 관용표현, 놀이문화, 거주문화, 토속신앙, 미학적 구문으로 구분하여 구체적인 번역 방법을 모색할 것이며, 이러한 특성이 두드러지게 나타난 「여우난골족」과 「가즈랑집」의 실제 번역문을 제시하여 향후 백석 시 번역 연구가 더욱 활발히 진행되기 바란다.

It is never easy to translate Baek Seok’s poems into Chinese, because in his poems, which have folksy languages and traditional culture harmonized, Korean people’s emotion before modernization is deeply implied. Translation seems to be a simple task that switches one language into another, but people contact other countries’ culture and share their emotion through translation, They are also moved together and grow together through translation. Translating Baek Seok’s poems into Chinese is meaningful in that communication between the two countries can be done, the culture can be expanded, and new culture can be created. Therefore, this study is intended to divide elements involved with the nature of folk appearing in his poems into cognate language, idiomatic expression. entertainment culture, residence culture, folk beliefs and aesthetic construction, and to seek for specific methods of translation to introduce folksy world and various types of traditional culture to Chinese speaking readers by presenting actual translation of 「Yeowoonangoljok」and 「Gajeurangjip」, which have the characteristics. It is expected that future researches on Baek Seok’s poems can actively done.
