국어교육을 교실 현장에서 직접 실행하는 국어교사의 역할은 상당히 중요하다. 국어교사의 삶의 가치관과 교육 경험, 그리고 국어교육철학에 따라 국어교육은 다양하게 구현된다. 이 연구는 자서전 쓰기를 통해 국어교사의 목소리를 탐색하고 국어교사의 자아정체성을 복원하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 국어교사의 자서전 텍스트를 연구자의 질적 해석과 텍스트 분석 프로그램을 활용한 양적 해석의 양 방향으로 분석함으로써 해석의 객관성을 높였다. 분석의 결과, 국어교육의 인문학적 특성과 국어교사의 실존성, 국어관과 국어교육의 역할 인식, 국어 수업의 현실과 이상 사이의 갈등과 선택, 국어교사로서의 정체성 탐색과 타자성 인식, 다양한 국어교사의 지향과 꿈 등으로 국어교사의 정체성 회복의 과정을 제시할 수 있다.

The role of Korean language teachers who directly execute Korean language education in classrooms is very important. Korean language education is implemented in a variety of ways in accordance with the values of life, educational experience, and philosophy of Korean teachers. The purpose of this study is to understand the voices of Korean teachers and to restore their self-identity through autobiographical writing. By analyzing the autobiographical texts of Korean language teachers both qualitative and quantitative analysis, the objectivity of the interpretation was upheld. The result of the analysis indicates that the process of restoring identity of the Korean language teachers is based on the humanistic characteristics of Korean language education, the existence of Korean language teachers, the philosophy and the role of Korean language education, the conflict between the reality and ideal of Korean language education, and the various orientations and dreams of Korean language teachers.
