이 연구의 목적은 공적 사과 교육의 내용 초안을 개발하는 데에 있다. 사과라는 언어 행위는 사과의 대상인 사과 받는 이가 해당 사과 메시지를 받아들이는지의 여부에 따라 그 본연의 역할(기능) 수행 정도가 판단된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 한 유의미한 공적 사과의 사례를 중심으로 해당 사과가 소통되는 과정에서 사과의 수용 여부 및 정도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 밝히고 이를 기반으로 공적 사과 담화 및 텍스트의 소통 모델을 제시하였다. 사과는 수용됨으로써 언어 행위로서 그 본연의 의미를 갖게 된다는 점에서, 사과 수용 반응을 고려한 공적 사과 담화 및 텍스의 표현 원리를 공적 사과 교육의 내용으로 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to establish the educational contents of public apologies. The language of the act of apology is judged according to whether or not the subject(s) accept(s) the apology. In this study, I focused on a case involving a series of public apologies and identified the factors that influence on the acceptance of apologies in communication process. In cases when an apology becomes meaningful as a linguistic act by being accepted, the principles of expressions of apologies that are accepted are presented as educational contents of public apologies.
