본 연구에서는 친밀감에 대한 두려움을 측정하기 위해 개발된 친밀감에 대한 두려움 구성요소 척도(Fear of Intimacy Components Questionnaire: FICQ)를 한국어로 번안하고 그 요인의 구조와 타당도 및 신뢰도를 검증하였다. FICQ는 타인과 가까워지는 과정에서 타인의 인정과 관심을 잃을지도 모른다는 두려움(Fear of losing others: FLO)과 자신의 정체성과 자율성을 잃을지도 모른다는 두려움(Fear of losing self: FLS)이라는 2개의 하위요인으로 구성되어 있다. 구체적으로, 본 연구에서는 자료 수집 당시 6개월 이상 이성 관계를 맺고 있는 성인들을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 탐색적 및 확인적 요인분석을 실시한 결과, 원척도와 동일하게 10문항, 2요인이 적절한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 타당도 및 신뢰도를 확인한 결과, FICQ는 한국인에게 사용하기에 타당한 도구로 확인되었다. FLO와 FLS는 각각 불안애착, 회피애착과 더 높은 상관을 보였고 사회적 상호작용 불안, 외로움, 이성관계 만족도와 유의한 상관을 보였다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 상담에 대한 시사점, 한계점을 제시하고 후속 연구에 대한 제언을 논하였다.

Fear of Intimacy Components Questionnaire(FICQ) was formerly developed to measure fear of intimacy. In the present study, we translated the questionnaire into Korean and examined the factor structure, validity and reliability. FICQ consists of two sub-factors: Fear of losing acceptance and attention from others(Fear of Losing Other: FLO) and Fear of losing self identity and autonomy(Fear of Losing Self: FLS) in the process of getting closer to others. Specifically, we conducted a survey with adults who had at least six months of heterosexual relationship at that time. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis results showed that 10 items and 2 factors were appropriate as the original scale. Additionally, the result of validity and reliability confirmed that FICQ was confirmed to be a valid tool for Koreans. FLO and FLS showed higher correlation with anxiety attachment and avoidance attachment respectively, as well as a significant correlation with social interaction anxiety, loneliness and heterosexual relationship satisfactory. Finally, limitations along with implications and follow-up studies were discussed.
