필사본 국문소설인 「연국부인기행록」은 唐傳奇 소설 「李娃傳」을 바탕으로 하고 있지만 「이왜전」과 구체적인 내용에서는 사뭇 다른 양상을 보이고 있다. 이는 「연국부인기행록」이 「이왜전」을 수용하면서도 나름의 변용을 거쳤음을 알 수 있다. 이런 점에서 「연국부인기행록」은 당나라 전기가 한국 고전소설 전통 속에서 어떻게 수용되고 변용되었는지를 살펴보는 중요한 자료라고 할 수 있겠다. 본 연구에서는 두 작품의 내용을 면밀하게 비교한 후 이를 통하여 「연국부인기행록」만이 가지고 있는 내용적 특징을 밝히고 그것의 의미를 밝히는 데 목적을 둔다. 「연국부인기행록」의 기본 서사단락이 「이왜전」과 거의 일치한 점을 볼 때 「연국부인기행록」은 원작에 충실하면서 또한 한국고전소설특징에 맞게 창작되면서 지향점을 조건 없는 사랑에 초점을 맞추었다. 또 남주인공의 태몽과 성장과정, 고난과 구원자를 설정하여 한국고전소설의 특징인 주인공 일대기 구조를 만들었다.

<연국부인기행록> is an integrity Korean fiction. This fiction is based on Tang's biography fiction < LiWazhuan >. however, compare to < LiWazhuan > it is showing quite different aspect in detail. Which means <연국부인기행록> accepted < LiWazhuan >and gave it its own change. At this point, <연국부인 기행록> is an important reference of how Tang Dynasty biography fiction was accepted and transformed in Korean classical novel tradition. In this study, the object will be closely compare this two novels and to define the content feature and its meaning. <연국부인기행록> and < LiWazhuan > are correspond closely in basic epic paragraph. At this point, <연국부인기행록> is faithful to the original novel, but also created to fit the Korean fiction and the sole purpose was at unconditional love. Again, by setting up precognitive dream, growth process, hardship and saviour for the main character, made main character life structure to be district feature of Korean fictional biography. By eliminating the beginning and behind-the-scene story, it took away pursue the fact of building <연국부인기행록> independent. It makes this made up story exist as an individual novel.
