日本은 오랜 기간 동안 韓半島의 言語를 學習하고 敎育해 온 지역이다. 韓流 熱風을 타고 日本에서 韓國語를 배우려는 需要가 늘어나고 있는 요즘, 일본에서 이루어진 韓國語 敎育의 歷史를 살펴보는 것은 意味 있는 일이다. 이 가운데서도 日本 最初로 韓國語 敎育을 體系的으로 시작한 對馬島에서의 敎育 方法과 敎材의 構成 方法은 오늘날의 한국어 교육의 方法과 敎材 硏究에도 示唆하는 바가 크다. 이 論文에서는 일본에서 이루어진 韓語 敎育의 歷史的 背景을 살펴보고, 對馬島에서의 韓語 敎育의 方法과 그 背景, 그리고 韓語 敎育에 使用된 敎材에 관하여 살펴보는 것을 目的으로 한다. 특히 對馬島에서의 韓語 敎育을 創始한 雨森芳洲의 敎育 方法과 對馬島에서의 通事 養成에 대하여 살펴보고, 敎育에 使用된 方法에 대해서도 살펴보았다.

Japanese has studied and taught the Korean language for a long time. Recently, thanks to Han-ryu trend, Japanese people who want to learn Korean are increasing. So it would be significant to study the Korean-teaching history in Japan. Especially, Tsusima first began to educate the Korean language systematically. Its Korean-educating method and Korean textbook-editing direction are very suggestive to the study on Korean education and textbook production in Korea. Since Korea and Japan restored the friendly relation after Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592, Tsusima has played a role as the only formal agent for both countries. So the Korean learning in modern Japan was done mainly in Tsusima. In the early of the 17th century, Japan restored the friendly relationship with Chosun, but they did not set up an exclusive organization which took the diplomatic charge, but they delegated the diplomatic affairs to So family, the magistrate of Tsusima. The reason was that Tsusima is located in the middle between Chosun and Japan, and So family had been charged in diplomacy between them for a long time. Therefore, those days, Japanese international exchange with Korea was seldom done in any place except Tsusima, and Japanese people who wanted to learn Korean in a place except Tsusima had to get or copy the textbooks from Tsusima. Therefore, this study tried to explore the historical background of Korean education in Japan, to find out the Korean-teaching method and its background, and to research the Korean textbooks used in the contemporary age. Especially, it tried to identify the educational method and interpreter-training system by Amenomori Hoshu, who began the Korean education in Tsusima, focusing on the textbooks used by him.
