이 논문은 해석문법에 대한 소개와 함께 그것을 바탕으로 이루어진 그 동안의 연구 주제 및 내용을 고찰하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 해석문법은 한국어 기술문법이라고 할 수 있으며, 문장 및 텍스트를 분석하고 그 복잡성과 다양성을 음운, 어휘, 통사, 화용 차원에서 측정할 수 있다. 이러한 방법론을 통해 그동안 문학 작품 분석과 한국어교육 및 통번역에서의 연구, 그리고 국어교육 차원에서의 연구가 이루어져 왔다. 국어교육 차원에서는 교과서 분석과 대입 시험 지문 분석, 학습자 언어 분석, 그리고 국어교육과 한국어교육 간의 접점에 대한 연구가 이루어졌다.

This paper aims to introduce Analytic grammar and studies and their content based on it in Korean language education. The analytic grammar was introduced 10 years ago as a descriptive grammar of Korean language. Unlike the generative grammar, which is designed to deal with both sentence production and parsing, it does not deal with sentence production but focuses only on parsing. The studies based on the analytic grammar cover various areas such as literature analysis, KFL, interpreting/translating and Korean language education. So far analytic grammar research has analyzed text books, reading texts in exams, student languages and the interface between KFL and KSL in the field of Korean language education.
