의사소통 과정에서 중요한 것은 자신이 느끼고 있는 감정을 상대방에게 전달하는 것이다. 이를 위해서는 감정 표현 어휘의 의미를 제대로 이해하고 적절히 사용해야 한다. 그러나 한국어 학습자들이 복잡하고 미묘한 감정 표현 어휘를 익히고 이를 적절히 표현하는 것은 쉽지 않다. 학습자들이 자신의 감정을 표현하는 어휘를 학습하고 적절히 사용할 수 있도록 하기 위해서는 우선적으로 한국어 교육용 감정형용사를 정리하여 제시해야 한다. 또한 선정된 감정형용사를 의미에 따라 세분화한 의미망으로 제시하여 한국어 학습자들이 감정형용사의 의미를 보다 쉽게 이해하고, 관련 어들에 대한 이해를 통해 어휘 능력을 확장시킬 수 있도록 도와야 한다. 본 연구에서는 한국어 교육에 있어서 감정형용사 학습의 중요성을 강조하고 한국어 교육용 감정형용사 선정과 의미 항목별 분류를 통해 한국어 감정형용사의 효과적인 학습이 이루어지도록 하는 것을 목적으로 하였다.

What is important in the course of communication is delivering one's feelings to the hearer. To do so, one should properly understand the meaning of vocabulary for emotion expression, and should properly use the vocabulary. But, it is not easy for Korean language learners to study and properly use the vocabulary for expressing complicated, delicate feelings. To enable learners to learn and properly use the vocabulary for expressing emotions, emotion adjectives for Korean language education should first be well arranged and presented. Also, the meanings of the selected emotion adjectives should be presented according to segmented semantics networks so that Korean language learners may understand the meanings of emotion adjectives more easily and help expand vocabulary skills by understanding the languages involved. This study aimed to emphasize the importance of learning emotion adjectives in Korean language education, to select, categorize and classify emotion adjectives for Korean language education according to levels of learning so that emotion adjectives of Korean language may be more effectively studied.
